Summer Game Fest 2025 continued today with the reason for the season, a.k.a. the actual Summer Game Fest 2025 Showcase hosted by Geoff Keighley. The two-hour show is an annual celebration of video games and the people who make them, with an emphasis on upcoming games. Looking to know what you'll be playing for the rest of 2025? We watched the entire Summer Game Fest 2025 live presentation (including the Day of the Devs stream immediately after) and gathered the biggest announcements, trailers, and world premieres for Epic Games Store players.

Fortnite – Galactic Battle V: Death Star Sabotage

Space combat (including X-Wings, TIE Fighters and even the dreaded Death Star) is the focus of the upcoming Fortnite event, shown during a short, action-packed trailer at Summer Game Fest 2025. The limited-time event Death Star Sabotage will kick off in Fortnite on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 2 PM ET, with log-in rewards for all players: the Assault on the Death Star Loading Screen and Captain Phasma’s Quicksilver Baton Spear Pickaxe.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

Hideo Kojima showed up with a brief trailer of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. We got a glimpse of Neil and Lucy having a mysterious conversation in a nondescript office. Kojima also stressed that the pandemic changed the way he viewed the original Death Stranding, and that it has influenced the themes of the upcoming sequel.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is currently announced for PlayStation 5, but you can catch up on the original Death Stranding via the Epic Games Store.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds takes the blue blur and friends on a kart-racing adventure that spans land, air, sea, outer space…and even across other games.

The Summer Game Fest 2025 trailer touted it as the biggest Sonic Racing game ever, filled with characters from across the decades-long franchise—and beyond. Hatsune Miku, Ichiban Kasuga (Yakuza), and Joker (Persona 5) all hopped into karts and took to the raceways. We saw a bit of the game’s twisting tracks, as well as hints at the customization options that will let players build a kart to match their style.

End of Abyss

Developer Section9 Interactive’s debut title End of Abyss is an atmospheric action game headed to the Epic Games Store.

In its debut trailer, a character (and sometimes two) walked slowly through dark, desolate environments, gun raised, blueish laser sight illuminating the darkness. Then the horrors appeared, attacking, jumping, and splitting in two or more when shot. At the end, we saw a mysterious box with an ominous red light. “In time, you will find us,” the narrator said.

ARC Raiders

Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders got a release date at SGF 2025: Oct. 30, 2025.

ARC Raiders pits players against other players and everyone against the environment in a dystopian future where the biggest threat are mysterious mechanized ARC machines. At Summer Game Fest 2025, we saw the titular Raiders (that’s you) in action—even if some of that action was just hanging out in a bar. There was plenty of combat too, though: ziplining, shooting through the post-apocalyptic ruins of past cities, and splitting fights between humans and machines.

Chrono Odyssey

Developer Chrono Studio’s Chrono Odyssey is an MMORPG powered by Unreal Engine 5 and set in a vast open world, with a focus on fast-paced combat.

The game’s Summer Game Fest 2025 trailer made the situation clear: When the void calls, heroes must rise. The players are the heroes in question, charged with saving what remains of this dark, fantastic, and broken world. We saw quite a lot of that world in short, staccato bursts—grasslands, snowlands, swamps, and more.

Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves is an open-world action RPG from Kur Games, first released in 2025. Its Summer Game Fest 2025 trailer was all about the upcoming version 2.4, which launches on June 12 and is full of new characters and locations.

MONGIL: STAR DIVE

MONGIL: STAR DIVE is developer Netmarble Corp’s action-RPG where players find and tame monsters. You might say that players will have to "catch ‘em all" when the MONGIL: STAR DIVE beta begins on the Epic Games Store on June 20. 

During Summer Game Fest 2025, we got a glimpse of the realm where humans, monsters, and demi-humans live side-by-side, not to mention the squishy, cat-like creature companion. With the team assembled, it was time to catch some creatures in cartoony and colorful battles.

Out of Words

We got our first look at Out of Words during Summer Game Fest 2025. Sporting an eye-catching stop-motion-style look, Out of Words is a co-op platformer where players help each other through a strange and surreal world. Think Split Fiction or It Takes Two, but by way of something like Inside.

Out of Words is coming to the Epic Games Store.
 

Crystal of Atlan x One Punch Man

Crystal of Atlan is a recently released MMO action-RPG from the developers at Nuverse Pte, set in a so-called "magicpunk" world that blends magic and machines. Today's Summer Game Fest 2025 trailer built up to a collaboration with One Punch Man that will run from June 26 – July 26, 2025.

Jurassic World Evolution 3

In Jurassic World Evolution 3 (from the team at Frontier Developments) you get to build your own Jurassic World—but this time, it’ll be different!

Dr. Ian Malcom (a.k.a. Jeff Goldblum) narrated the trailer, and touted the perks of giving your resurrected beasts a good home. Players will synthesize, breed, and raise more than 80 species of dinosaurs across multiple generations.

Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light: The Beast’s Summer Game Fest 2025 trailer revealed an August 22, 2025 release date.

In Dying Light: The Beast, developer Techland is expanding the franchise with a standalone story that throws Kyle Crane back into the spotlight, and he’s all over the trailer, both in body and voice. The trailer set up the bad guy, the mysterious Baron, who’s experimenting with creating undead—and it looks like he’s got a whole army of them.

MindsEye

MindsEye is the first game from the GTA veterans at Build a Rocket Boy, and its cinematic, open-world influences were obvious during the 2025 Summer Game Fest trailer. We got a glimpse of MindsEye's story and of the game’s protagonist, a former soldier who can’t quite tell the difference between reality and fiction. And at the very end, there was tease for a crossover with Agent 47 from the Hitman franchise.

Hitman x 007

Le Chiffre from the film Casino Royale, played by (and modeled after) Mads Mikkelsen, is joining Hitman World of Assassination, as IO Interactive ties together its existing Hitman series with its upcoming James Bond adaptation 007 First Light.

At Summer Game Fest 2025, we saw Le Chiffre in a limited-time Hitman mission set in a Paris casino, sitting across from Agent 47. Mikkelsen walked onstage and said that he was both glad to play this villain again and was excited to say that Le Chiffre is more hands-on with his violence in the game than he was in the movie.

Infinitesimals

Infinitesimals is a game about itty-bitty aliens exploring a gigantic planet, and the scale was on full display during Summer Game Fest 2025!

Developer Cubit Studios’ game stars the millimeters-tall Captain Awkney Relinrake, who took center stage in the video—fighting spiders, dodging beetle mandibles, flying bug-shaped airships between blades of grass, and more.

Last Flag

Night Street Games’ 5-on-5 shooter takes place in a televised competition where gunfights blend with capture the flag.

At Summer Game Fest 2025, we saw the third-person shooter’s deliberate chaos in action, with a stylized introduction of several characters. Each team has 60 seconds to hide their flag, and then it’s game on. Keep your flag safe, hunt down your opponents' flag, bring it back home, and you win. The cast of characters in Last Flag spans the gamut from brawler to runner, and you can see them in the Summer Game Fest 2025 trailer running and gunning their way through a ghost town, a mountain village, and more.

Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver

Developer Brass Lion Entertainment’s debut title asks a simple question: Where is the Wu-Tang Clan? In Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver, it’s your job to find out. The brief trailer at Summer Game Fest 2025 showed just a snippet of high-flying 3D combat, visible above.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a Soulslike role-playing game from the developers at Leenzee.

Set during the Ming Dynasty, it blends history and fantasy, both of which we saw plenty of in the Summer Game Fest 2025 trailer, as opponents battled in idyllic fields and employed gravity-defying moves and leaps. Splitgate 2

Splitgate 2 from developer 1047 Games is a free-to-play shooter focused on guns, movement, and old-school shooter action—and now it features a new Splitgate Battle Royale mode as well, out today.

During Summer Game Fest 2025, 1047 co-founder Ian Proulx took to the stage to make his pitch for a game that he said started in a dorm room. In short, he wants more classic Halo, wishes for a world where we got Titanfall 3, and he’s sick of playing the same Call of Duty every year…so he made Splitgate 2 and added portals. And Battle Royale.
