Escape From Duckov is getting a new seasonal map on December 18, 2025, according to a trailer shown at The Game Awards 2025. TankRat
TankRat is a new game from the developers of TankHead, and its reveal trailer at The Game Awards 2025 was full of more tank-based destruction.Developer Alpha Channel’s new game looks to be set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland full of deadly machines that walk and slither across the landscape as a scrappy tank fights back. Some of these monstrosities look like buildings on giant babydoll legs, while others are more like oversized mechanical snakes. For TankHead fans: The trailer’s narrator mentions Whitaker, the pilot of a drone-controlled tank who stars in TankHead, so it’s clearly tied into the same universe.
TankRat is set for a spring 2026 release on the Epic Games Store.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando will be released on March 12, 2026, according to the trailer we saw at The Game Awards 2025.The first-person shooter collaboration between Saber Interactive and legendary horror director John Carpenter sets teams of four players against the Sludge God, the grotesque result of science gone awry. The latest trailer was oozing with Toxic Commando mercenaries trying their best to survive. There's lots of blood, there's lots of bullets, there are explosions and fire, and at least one rolling skull, signaling what's sure to be a gore-filled time.

Ontos
Ontos arrived at The Game Awards 2025 with the unmistakable tones of Stellan Skarsgard narrating its debut trailer and questions about breaking reality.The upcoming title from Frictional Games (developers of the chilling SOMA and Amnesia: The Bunker) challenges the very idea of existence and wonders whether granting wishes (as your late father once did) is really such a good idea.

Zenless Zone Zero
A new trailer for Zenless Zone Zero, developer miHoYo's action role-playing game, introduced Ye Shunguang, the game’s first dual-form agent.The sword-wielding hero took to the battlefield and narrated her own reveal, as she dispatched her enemies in multiple forms across many battles. There’s more to come in the Angels of Delusion update—including the titular Angels of Delusion faction..
If you want to jump in ahead of the update, Zenless Zone Zero 2.4 launched just last month, adding new characters, bringing back old characters, and expanding the story with a new main chapter called “On the Precipice of the Abyss.”

Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem's new trailer at The Game Awards 2025 showed off a strange meeting between the monstrous and the living—and Leon Kennedy.The living is FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, whose mother died in a now-abandoned hotel eight years ago. Discovering what happened to Grace's mother will lead to a hidden truth behind the series' famous Raccoon City outbreak.
The monstrous is a man with a strange metal contraption over his eyes, named Victor Gideon. He has ties to the evil Umbrella Corporation, and he’s been looking for Grace.
“Through you,” he tells her, “Elpis can finally be set free.”
There’s plenty of rain, plenty of atmosphere—and plenty of Leon Kennedy, who shows up and fights at the end of the trailer. Turns out, Leon and Grace will be dual protagonists in Capcom's ninth Resident Evil entry.

EXODUS
EXODUS is about a battle between humanity and their enemies, the Celestials—and we saw both in a trailer during The Game Awards 2025.The action-adventure RPG from developer Archetype Entertainment and publisher Wizards of the Coast is set 40,000 years from now as humanity explores uncharted space, wrestles with time, and fights to shape the future. During the trailer, a voice from off-screen implored the protagonist to seize his destiny and save humanity. He must wield the "unwieldable" Celestial technology, find a cure, and save a dying world—because nobody else can.

Screamer
Developer Milestone’s Screamer mixes an arcade-style racing game with neon-infused, anime-style aesthetics in a story about racing for glory and revenge.A trailer at The Game Awards 2025 started with a glimpse of the story—a certain Mr. A is hosting a Screamer tournament, and you’re invited—and then ended with fast-paced, explosion-prone racing with big spoilers (the car kind), big jumps, and big stakes.

CONTROL Resonant
CONTROL Resonant is the sequel to developer Remedy Entertainment’s supernatural action game, and it premiered with a trailer at The Game Awards 2025.CONTROL Resonant brings us back to what appears to be the Oldest House, bathed in shadow and red light, as a man first hangs suspended from cables and then ends up imprisoned in a box. It certainly seems to be the brother of original Control protagonist Jesse, the object of her search in the original game.
“Do you feel it?” the man asks. “Something is coming. An intrusive pattern of staggering power.”
The surreal powers that the Old House once contained have broken free, and the wider world is glitching—and it sure looks like Jesse's brother will be taking the fight to the streets.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, developer TT Games’ open-world action game, showed up at The Game Awards 2025 with a giant red Batphone and a phone call from the Caped Crusader to Geoff Keighley.The new trailer focused on the story, which weaves together Batman's classic rogues’ gallery of villains like Joker, (arguably) Catwoman, and Two-Face, alongside heroes like Robin, Batgirl, and more. The trailer ended with a May 29, 2026 release date.

007 First Light
007 First Light, the upcoming action-espionage game that tells the origin story of a young James Bond, arrived at The Game Awards 2025 with a trailer introduced by Gemma Chan, who plays Selina Tan, MI6’s Head of Tactical Simulation.The developers at IO Interactive are best known for the Hitman series. With 007 First Light, they step into the world of the famous agent who travels the globe with his license to kill. In true globetrotting fashion, tonight's trailer took viewers to a location called Aleph, Mauritania, where Bond’s target is located.
Unfortunately things aren’t going too well—the young agent is tied up and hanging upside-down, and the bad guy, Bawma (played by Lenny Kravitz), is looking to feed his crocodiles (or possibly alligators). Kravitz took the stage after to talk about Bawma, who he described as “a wild, unpredictable pirate ruler of Africa’s biggest black market hub.”

Warframe
A trailer for Warframe brought a surprise appearance from Werner Herzog, who asked a question: "What is Warframe?"There isn’t a clear answer, which is exactly what Community Director Megan Everett and Creative Director Rebecca Ford said before introducing the trailer. “We’ve completely given up answering it ourselves,” Ford said. “Warframe was once ‘ninjas in space,’ which it still is. And we clung to the tagline ‘Ninjas Play Free.’” But the game has become more than that in the last 12 years, so they enlisted acclaimed documentarian Werner Herzog to explore the answer.

Lords of the Fallen 2
A Lords of the Fallen 2 trailer shown at The Game Awards 2025 introduced the sequel’s gameplay with a bit of mystery, bloody and brutal combat, and possibly some forgiveness.“Lampbearer,” said the trailer’s mysterious narrator, referencing the player character—and the dual-world mechanic established in 2023's Lords of the Fallen. “One must follow many paths on the road to salvation. Paths through light. Paths through shadow. I will walk with you, wherever they may lead, no matter the cost.”
Blood flew as she talked over scenes of brutal combat. “Father,” the narrator said as the trailer wound down, “Forgive me.”

Lords of the Fallen – 2.5 Update
Lords of the Fallen has a new 2.5 update that introduces deadlier boss battles, new boss weapon animations, faster and smarter enemies, a new armor set called the Veteran of the Veil, and super challenging Veteran Mode—and it’s available now for free, as revealed at the end of the Lords of the Fallen 2 trailer during The Game Awards 2025.First released in 2023, Lords of the Fallen has been refined with more than 70 post-launch updates. Earlier this year, developer CI Games released version 2.0, which brought a Free Friends Pass that enables cross-play with friends who don’t own the game. Version 2.5 is the game’s final major update.

No Law
No Law made its debut at the Game Awards 2025.It takes place in “a city that don’t belong to anyone,” according to the narrator of the trailer, who’s also the game’s mustachioed protagonist. There are no laws. There is no peace. But along comes a new mayor who wants to impose order. The narrator took issue with that—and now he's out for revenge, kicking and shooting and snapping necks on the way to reminding everyone that, as he puts it, “You reap what you sow.”

Hitman World of Assassination
Following on from its recent Eminem collaboration, Hitman World of Assassination arrived at The Game Awards showing off a new mission that takes place in Darfur and stars Milla Jovovich as the latest Elusive Target.The brief trailer for Patient Zero Requiem teased the new content, promising that failure could have “catastrophic consequences on a global scale.” The update is scheduled for a February 2026 release.

Total War: Warhammer 40,000
David Harbour took the stage to announce that Total War is going to the grimdark future after three Total War: Warhammers—and he’ll be starring in the upcoming Total War: Warhammer 40,000.A cinematic trailer gave us our first look at Total War's take on Games Workshop's iconic far future full of Space Marines fighting for mankind’s survival against “endless tides of aliens, traitors, and demons.” Countless troops fight, tanks roll across the battlefields, and smoke fills the air as they “fight on as the galaxy burns.” The trailer ended with pre-alpha gameplay footage showing that Total War's strategy battles will this time span from ground combat to in-orbit forces and even entire solar systems.

Arknights: Endfield
Arknights: Endfield will be released on January 22, according to its The Game Awards 2025 trailer—which also featured a performance from One Direction.Developer Hypergryph’s hybrid real-time strategy role-playing game takes place on Talos-II, where the planet's beauty is only rivaled by its omnipresent danger. You’ll play as the Endministrator of Endfield Industries, leading your team on missions to defend and expand humanity’s frontiers, building production lines and gathering resources.

Out of Words
A new trailer for Out of Words showed off the upcoming co-op platformer and its unforgettable stop-motion style.We saw the game’s protagonists, Kurt and Karla, in action throughout the trailer. Out of Words tasks the two friends with exploring the surreal world of Vokabulantis, hoping to find their lost voices. The gameplay, featuring both cross-platform or couch co-op, is reminiscent of Split Fiction, while the vibe reminds us of INSIDE.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer
Star Wars: Galactic Racer sped into The Game Awards 2025 with an announcement trailer full of high-speed…well, not quite podracing, but a speeder-centric take that looks similar to the legendary Star Wars Episode I: Racer.Star Wars: Galactic Racer takes place after the fall of the Empire, when an organization called the Galactic League runs an underground racing circuit. “The galaxy needs racing!” the trailer's narrator screamed over cinematic shots of racing through scrapyards and other planets on the Outer Rim—the planets on the fringes of a galaxy far, far away.

Phantom Blade Zero
Phantom Blade Zero, the upcoming action role-playing game from the developers at S-GAME, arrived at The Game Awards 2025 with a trailer showing off its martial arts, magic, and combat.The game takes its narrative cues from wuxia, a Chinese fiction genre grounded in martial arts, but adds dark steampunk elements. The trailer showed off the protagonist, the Dark Raider, exiled by his order. Now the Dark Raider sets out on a quest for vengeance—expect plenty of high-flying combat and spraying blood.
“Phantom is movement, striking from where none expect,” the narrator said. “Blade is breath, when channeled into steel, turning any blade into a divine weapon. When phantom and blade unite, no enemy stands.”

Where Winds Meet
A trailer for Everstone Studio’s Where Winds Meet was all about the open-world action-adventure RPG’s expansion, The Imperial Palace, which is slated for a 2026 releaseThe brief trailer began with a man holding a baby during a storm, then cut to a woman practicing with a sword in a seemingly idyllic forest. Those two appear to be on a collision course, as they spar for much of the rest of the trailer.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 got a big, free "Thank You Update," which will include a new playable environment called Verso's Drafts, new music from The Game Awards-winning composer Lorien Testard, a photo mode, new weapons, new costumes, new quests, new late-game boss battles, and quality-of-life improvements like HUD scaling and controller remapping options.Released earlier this year to critical acclaim—as mentioned, it won nine awards at The Game Awards 2025—developer Sandfall Interactive’s turn-based role-playing game chronicles the titular Expedition 33 and its battle against the Paintress.
