What is gamescom?
gamescom is Europe's leading trade fair for digital games culture held annually at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
Will gamescom be a physical event this year?
This year’s gamescom returns to a physical event after going completely digital during the height of COVID. That said, the show will continue to host what it calls an extensive online digital program that you can enjoy from home.
When does gamescom take place?
gamescom runs from August 24 to August 28 this year, the show kicks off with Opening Night Live hosted by Geoff Keighley on August 23.
Who is Geoff Keighley?
Geoff Keighley will be hosting the gamescom Opening Night Live stream He is an accomplished video game journalist and TV presenter, best known for hosting GametrailersTV, but most recently has served as the executive producer and host of The Game Awards and the Summer Game Fest.
What companies will be attending gamescom?
gamescom will be attended by a cross-section of the industry, with hundreds of indies, developers, and publishers in attendance. More than 500 exhibitors have registered including the likes of 2K Games, 505 Games, Bandai Namco, Sega, THQ Nordic, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games, and Xbox.
